about us

What is Hvar from Above?

Hvar from Above is a “flight-sharing” platform where pilots and passengers share the cost of the flight. This means that people can enjoy scenic flights above the most beautiful locations of Hvar and its surroundings, or fly from A to B within Croatia and neighboring areas for less money.

You will experience the beauty of Hvar in the best possible way – from the air! Carefully planned routes will take you to the most popular tourist attractions as well as to the hidden gems of Hvar’s nature.

What is flight-sharing?

Passengers and pilots share the costs of private flights. Passengers pay for the organization and service of connecting with the pilot, and share the direct flight costs with the pilot. This way, you can fly more affordably!

The passenger chooses from various pre-planned routes and requests a reservation for that flight. Once we confirm that your flight is available, you will receive a booking confirmation and payment instructions, and your pilot will contact you for further details.

It’s important to know the code of conduct. Click the button below to review the code of conduct documents, both for pilots and passengers.

Safety

These flights are as safe as the road transportation you use every day. Furthermore, Hvar from Above has raised the bar in terms of safety: the required pilot experience is set at a minimum of 220 flight hours. Additionally, all flight routes are carefully planned by the pilot and described in the flight details.

Safety levels

This flight-sharing platform is fully compliant with all articles of the EASA Safety Charter.

What type of aircraft do we fly with?

Flights on this platform are conducted using a four-seater Cessna 172. This aircraft is ideal for scenic flights because the wings are above, providing an unobstructed view of the coast and sea. Furthermore, this type of aircraft is very comfortable to fly in, and the experience is as smooth as riding in a car.
